OKStupid

Approximately 8 thousand people have liked me on Ok Cupid in the past two weeks. Let me repeat that number again: 8000 likes. While I appreciate the love, the thought of opening the app and filtering through the masses feels very overwhelming. There is no way I’ll be able to look at this many profiles without emotionally exhausting myself – let alone message the ones I like. This is sheer madness.

I joined OK Cupid two weeks ago as part of my ongoing search for love and happiness – and to observe and make notes about the functionality of the website. Unlike other applications like Bumble or Tinder, OK Cupid allows a person to message you before you have matched. Plus, their algorithm for determining match percentage is, in my opinion, fu$%cking stupid. I have a lot of opinions to share – and I won’t be able to do so in one post. For now, please enjoy some of the lovely messages I have received on OK Cupid:
